The Leadership Team
Don was Vice President of Manufacturing Excellence at Harley-Davidson. He has been consulting around the world and has taught at business schools in Moscow, Copenhagen, Luxembourg, and Zagreb. He is a Senior Lecturer at MIT, where he runs a two-day Executive Education course and teaches in the Executive MBA program.
Throughout his career, Nelson has focused on understanding the factors that contribute to the successful implementation, execution, and improvement of business processes. His award-winning research has been recognized by the California Management Review and the Journal of Product Innovation Management. He also received the Jay W Forrester prize for the best work in the field.
James has managed a variety of businesses through different stages – from startup to venture funding to divestment – in the organics recycling and renewable energy industry. While working as Senior Vice President for Harvest Power, James was responsible for business units in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vancouver, BC, as well as several cross-enterprise initiatives.
Sheila is both a Partner at ShiftGear and the Director of Operations and Development for the Genomics Platform at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, MA. She directs a team of over 150 scientists, engineers, and laboratory technicians who develop and run DNA sequencing production processes. Sheila is Six Sigma, Black Belt certified and works across many boundaries between the science, technology, process development, and operations.
